What to Expect During Your Session
Initial Consultation
During your first consultation, we will review your medical history to ensure that any underlying health conditions are addressed appropriately. In some cases, we may determine that sports massage is not suitable, and in these instances, you may be referred to another healthcare professional to ensure your well-being is prioritised.

Discomfort and Control
Many people associate sports massage with intense pain, but this is a misconception. While some mild discomfort may occur with certain soft tissue techniques, you will always remain in control of the treatment process. Your comfort is our priority, and we will ensure that the pressure and techniques used are within your tolerance. If you experience any pain during your session, please inform your therapist immediately.

Post-Treatment Reactions
Following your treatment, you may experience some temporary side effects. While individual responses vary, these reactions are typically normal and indicate your body’s natural response to therapy. Possible reactions include:
-
Soreness or stiffness
-
Emotional release
-
Fatigue or tiredness
-
Mild bruising or muscle aching
-
Headaches
-
Increased urination or bowel movements
-
Increased thirst
These effects are all part of a normal healing response. To aid in your recovery, we recommend taking it easy for an hour after your session and staying well-hydrated.
